STYAL VILLAGE. Learn about life as it was lived at a cotton mill during the 18th century. Various interactive displays reveal the importance of newly discovered waterpower during the Industrial Revolution. A working beam engine from the early 1800's is on exhibit, and actual mill workers provide demonstrations of their daily jobs. This museum offers hands-on learning about the historical and present-day importance of the cotton industry.
