Retreat from the bustle of the city in Boggart Hole Clough. Castlefield has a history of urban success dating back to 79 BC, when it was the site of a Roman fort. Then again in 1761, the Bridgeway Canal made Castlefield a central point for trade. Debdale Park and Delemere Park make up the Debdale Area Parks. At Debdale, you will find four tennis courts, boating facilities, a nature trail, and rock climbing. The park holds numerous "fundays" throughout the summer for the entire family. Delemere Park is also home to many different athletic activities.

The mansion depicts different styles prevalent during the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries. Inside, visitors get to view the English clock collection and the plaster casts re-creating certain battles. The park outside includes a well-maintained Dutch garden and a peaceful lake. The property behind the building reaches up to 1,200-feet high and is popular among those who enjoy hiking.
